Aloha! Due to the recent storm, the trail to the waterfalls has been closed pending removal of a few fallen Albizia trees and a few that are about to fall onto the trail. Re-opening of the trail is expected to occur during the last week of May … weather permitting. In the meantime, Kayak Wailua is offering a 4 hour tour which will include paddling Opaekaa Stream, the Wailua River, swimming, photo taking, and a pre-paid visit to Kamokila Hawaiian Village where there are picnic tables and restrooms. Paddling Opaekaa Stream is an amazing short term event which will be off limits when the Secret Falls trail re-opens. The views on this unique stream are awesome and should not be missed. Opaekaa Stream will be closed on or about June 1st so I urge you to explore its breathtaking scenery before it is too late. The rate for this temporary modified tour will be fixed at $45 per person which will be the same for all ages and all tour times. On or about June 1, the standard rates for the waterfall tour will apply. $50/person for the “Early Bird Special” at 8am on Friday’s and Saturday’s. All other tour times and dates will be $60/person for the Uluwehi (Secret Falls) excursion. Sorry if this is confusing. If you click on the desired date and time on our booking calendar, the correct price will appear. Thank you for understanding that Mother Nature threw us a curve ball on April 15; we are doing our very best to recover and offer you an incredible adventure which some are already saying is better than before the storm. Our temporary rate of $45 for the 4 hour guided tour including the cultural village admission is unmatched. I cannot encourage you strongly enough to take advantage of this once in a lifetime proposition.
