You can fly nonstop from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Lihue, Kauai on United, or fly to Honolulu and connect to Lihue on one of the interisland airlines, Aloha or Hawaiian Air. Once you're on Kauai, most of the main rental car companies are located at the airport. Kayak Wailua, LLC is a short seven miles north from the airport. Drive to Wailua. Check in at the Shell Food Mart located 200 yards north of the Wailua River on the ocean side of Highway 56. The Wailua River Marina is about one quarter mile from our shop. Rosewood Kauai is our favorite vacation rental located in a quiet tropical country setting just 4 miles from our kayak launch site. One of our kayakers purchased a vacation oceanfront condo after falling in love with the Wailua area during her 1st visit to Kauai. Kaha Lani is uniquely tucked away from traffic noise and isolated on a quiet beach.
